Witthuus-Norderney

We've stayed there twice now, in a different apartment each time. Both were really nice and relaxing. We'd love to return.

The apartment was okay, but the building has terrible acoustics. Soundproofing is inadequate, and we could hear the neighbors in the apartments above quite clearly. The terrace is also overlooked by the neighbors and the people upstairs. Some of the dishes were dirty, and one area was dusty. The dike is a popular but overcrowded vacation spot, and it wasn't our favorite.

The balcony was a good size, and there was a grill. We were four adults staying for a week in the Spiekeroog apartment, and the two large bedrooms with double beds worked perfectly. It was modern and stylishly furnished, with a subtle nautical touch. We felt comfortable and well looked after. If we come to Norddeich again, this will be our first choice.

The "Norderney" apartment was nicely and stylishly furnished, but for a one-week stay and four stars for value, we expected toilet paper and soap in the bathroom, plus enough dish soap or dishwasher tablets. A few small repairs are needed, including the parasol, soap dish, and dishwasher button. The extra charge for making the beds or supplying towels was far too high and could surely be more affordable. For us, it's a solid three-star apartment overall.
