The breakfast buffet was excellent and had lots of variety, and the hostess was friendly. Right in the city center, the place was still very quiet. The room seemed recently renovated and was furnished very practically, with a large wardrobe and a new shower. Everything was excellent.

The house isn't new, but it has plenty of charm. The stairs creak, while the rooms and bathroom are practically new and clean. Thanks to the lovely staff! Breakfast is included, with plenty for everyone. The location is hard to beat: you're in the middle of everything and right by the beach. The owner gives everyone a warm welcome, so you feel settled and on vacation straight away. We'd love to return! 😃

Watch out... Every year we do our bike tour, five stages in all, starting at Ubierring as usual. Since it was my birthday, I deliberately set the start for 1:30 PM so the ladies and gentlemen could recover from their hangovers. We began with four Kölsch beers, then got on the bikes and kept pushing along. After 150 km we were completely dehydrated, so we had to make an emergency stop at the Alberto boat for more Kölsch. Delicious. The waves made us feel a little seasick, but never mind. We carried on through the forest toward Rodenkirchen in the left lane. After a wild ride, we finally spotted the Crocodile, the ferry that would take us to the iron beer stein and its gilded Kölsch. With the last of our strength, we took the ferry and made it there. We got the loneliest beer steins, the tastiest beer from them, and the most amazing food in the whole world. Five-star deluxe!

Breakfast was excellent, and the hosts were consistently friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean, too. From the harbor, the guesthouse is easy to reach by bus, and it's just a five-minute walk to the beach and promenade, with the pedestrian zone right there as well. One thing that caught me by surprise was the tourist tax when I left at the harbor. More information about it beforehand would have helped. I’m looking forward to coming back.
