I tried booking through an app offer, but it didn't work, and I couldn't book on the hotel's website either. A woman I reached by phone was friendly and said she'd call back. I never got that call. A couple of days later, an email arrived without a greeting or signature, asking what I wanted to book, and it came across as unfriendly. I explained what we were looking for and got another strange, unfriendly response asking whether I wanted a flat or where and what I wanted to book. I clarified that we'd like a hotel room and an offer for the options with and without an ocean view. No reply. Since our family had booked through the app offer, I called again and explained everything. The woman was friendly and promised another call back, but even two weeks later, there was still no response. We found a better place, and our family cancelled their booking and joined us. I've never had to work so hard to book somewhere, or been met with so little interest and such unfriendly treatment. Very disappointing communication, or lack of it.

The location is great, and every staff member gave excellent service.

Breakfast had fresh food and a nice range of choices, so it was a relaxed start to the day. The beach is just a few minutes away, and the center is an easy walk. Our apartment was clean and comfortably furnished, with nice attention to detail. The whole hotel was well kept and pleasantly quiet, and we felt at home right away after a warm welcome at check-in. We had a wonderful few days at Hotel Meerblick21 and would definitely return. Highly recommended!

The staff were always helpful and exceptionally friendly, and the location is superb. We stayed in a clean, charmingly furnished apartment for four just before Christmas, with breakfast included, and the value was excellent. I can't speak to what it's like in high season. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of fruit and vegetables, good coffee, a wide selection, and scrambled or fried eggs made fresh if you asked. A truly lovely hotel, we'll definitely return.
