The roasted duck was wonderfully crispy, probably the best I’ve ever had, and we really enjoyed the beer tasting since we didn’t know the local flavors. The staff were excellent too. I just didn’t love the atmosphere, as I’d have preferred somewhere cozier and more intimate.

My first couple of visits were good, but the last one was a letdown. The meat was so dry, tough, and hard to chew that it seemed like it had been cooked for 72 hours, almost like biting into sticks. The gravy was bland and completely unseasoned. If you want dessert, get the chocolate one and skip the Dampfnudel. It’s okay overall, but I’d suggest reserving a table since it can get really busy. They do accept Apple wallet payments.

The place has a nice brewery-like atmosphere, with good food and beer. The ramen was perfect.

Our food was fresh and delicious, and Simon looked after us all evening. He was so kind and gave great recommendations. We came with my family on a Christmas vacation, and even though we had a reservation, the restaurant was busy and they first told us they had no room. Simon found us a table, and we were served by him the whole night. Simon, you’re the best server I’ve ever had. I’ll come back if I’m in town.
