no shoes hotel

Lovely place and a great location. It feels a little expensive for a longer stay, though it works perfectly for a night or two.

The rooms have such a stylish design!

Great!

The check-in at the Gideon Hotel was the one frustrating part. It's nearby, so using its reception makes sense, but the receptionist seemed confused. She first had us down for three nights instead of the four we'd requested, had forgotten details about our booked parking space, and gave us the wrong Wi-Fi password for the apartment. It all got sorted, and we still enjoyed our stay, but several little mix-ups at once weren't ideal. That's mainly why we're taking off a star, although we'd happily return because the apartments themselves are great. The apartment is stylish and modern throughout. The living and dining area is roomy and beautifully designed, the bedroom is a good size and looks nice, and the bathroom is perfectly adequate. We also loved having a private balcony in summer. For the atmosphere and location, the price seems fair. It's easy to explore the city center from here, and the main train station and public transport are just around the corner. That convenience brings some traffic noise at night, even with the windows shut. With no air conditioning, keeping the windows closed made the room too warm for us in summer, and sleeping with them open didn't seem like a good option.
