NOVINA HOTEL Wöhrdersee Nürnberg City

The pillows were much too soft for me, and I had trouble sleeping. My friend in a different room had the same problem. Some firmer options would make a real difference. The staff at Novina Hotel were welcoming and very helpful, though, and breakfast had an excellent range of choices.

The city center is about 1.5 km away, or roughly a 20-minute walk through the park. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well looked after, and came with a complimentary bottle of water. Breakfast was included and very good quality. There’s also a garage available for an extra fee.

We arrived late and only stayed one night, so it was manageable, but I wouldn't recommend a longer visit. The room was an okay size, and despite the hotel being beside a large street, ours faced away from it and was quiet. Cleanliness was poor. There was dirt in several spots on the floor and along the edges of the walls and floors. We found hair on the bed, in the sink, and on the floor; the bathroom door had calcium deposits, and the curtains were stained. The hotel also feels old-fashioned, with a metal bathroom sink. The shower is separated from the room by glass, which isn't my style.

We were there for just two nights during a road trip and really liked the hotel. The breakfast buffet was great, and room service was excellent. The rooms are very nice. There’s underground parking as well as dedicated disabled parking spaces, and the hotel is generally well laid out for wheelchair access.
