We spent a week here with five people, staying in the larger of the two apartments. It has a balcony and is simple but well equipped. The insulation was a real plus: it stayed cool in summer, we didn't hear the neighbors, and even the church bells didn't wake us. The hosts were very welcoming, and there's lots to do around here. Luegensteinhöhle, Tatzlwurm Wasserfälle, and the Wendelstein Track Railway are worth a visit. Lugensteinsee is a nice swimming lake within walking distance, though it can get busy. From the balcony you can see Brünnstein and Wildbarren, the two biggest mountains in view. We hiked to their summits, but they're probably best suited to experienced hikers.

A lovely village and a good place to stop overnight while travelling. The welcome was warm and friendly, and everything felt easygoing.

We eventually got a neat, clean room, but the customer service left me wanting to give zero stars. We booked through Holidu and were told by email that a door code would arrive a week before we came. I tried to get in touch by email, through the app, and by text, but got no response, so we set off anyway. The drive was smooth and we arrived around 2:00 PM. When the front door opened, a rather unfriendly man said he knew nothing about our booking. We were told to come back at 6:30 PM, when his wife would be home.

The daily fresh eggs from their own chickens were a real treat. We had a great, relaxing stay in beautiful Upper Bavaria, with a lovely view of Brunnstein (mountain) from the balcony. The landlords were kind and took care of everything. The rooms felt beautiful and homey, especially the bathroom. The location was super central but still quiet.
