Hotel Gasthof Metzgerei Keindl

This was my third visit, and the front desk staff were super friendly and handled every request I had. The breakfast is amazing, and the spa has everything you need. For a three-star hotel, it’s top notch. I also loved the Bavarian accent 🤗

The restaurant was excellent, with a really extensive menu that included vegetarian and vegan choices. Breakfast was served in a large, bright room, with plenty of breads and cereals, a wide tea selection, and two good, quick coffee machines, so queues were minimal. It was nice to be able to order fresh omelettes, fried eggs, and scrambled eggs. The fresh fruit selection was very limited, though. The hotel is in a good spot near the Autobahn, but the room stayed quiet, even for sensitive sleepers. Staff were polite, helpful, and professional, easily five stars. There’s plenty of parking, including well-lit, safer spaces near the entrance, which also has excellent wheelchair access. The lift access to the floors is well planned. Our room was very clean, and the H4 firm beds were still comfortable. I’ll stay here again.

The OX burger was amazing, and the service was great. I only came in to eat, so I can't comment on the rooms.

We ended up staying somewhere else after the way we were treated. I don't appreciate being spoken to like that. We had called to book two rooms, one single and one double. They quoted us a price, we confirmed, and I called back a few minutes later to check about breakfast. Everything seemed fine. Then, about an hour later while I was driving on the highway to the hotel, they called to say the price was higher. They said they'd quoted the price for one triple room, even though I'd clearly asked for separate rooms from the start. It may have been their mistake, but adding 20€ after the booking and price were confirmed, while we were already on our way, was very unprofessional. The manager was extremely rude, blamed me, shouted, and hung up on me twice when I said we had a confirmed reservation at the agreed price. They should find a different line of work.
