The cakes were the real treat, with plenty to choose from and a homemade taste. We shared a slice after the pizza, which was delicious, though I forgot to take a photo. The little Christmas market outside was charming, but the indoor seats were all taken at first. We waited a bit and managed to get two. With the crowd, the staff still stayed friendly and attentive. The menu was just tarte flambée and pizza, which made sense for the occasion.

The dining room is nicely decorated, and the cake was delicious. I came in for coffee and cake, and the staff were very friendly, so I’ll be back. I can’t speak to the rooms, though I imagine they’re furnished with good taste.

The decor and furnishings are lovely, clearly put together with care. But our Schlemmerblock breakfast was a letdown. They asked right away whether we had the booklet, then explained that the free breakfast was limited to €10. We couldn’t pick a pricier option, only a discounted version. Why? The food itself was nothing special either. The cheese plate came with one brown iceberg lettuce leaf and five grapes, two of them bad. Some extra fruit or vegetables as decoration would have helped. The price just didn’t feel fair for what we got.
