Gasthaus Zur Linde

The restaurant is excellent, the best in Oberharmersbach in my view, and the staff are always friendly and helpful, especially Frau Lang. I've stayed at 'zur Linde' several times before, then returned recently for a longer visit while searching for property in Oberharmersbach. The accommodations have always been clean and comfortable, at a very reasonable price. I can't recommend 'zur Linde' highly enough. Don't miss this gem in the forest.

We ate very well here and got friendly service throughout. A lovely traditional inn.

The restaurant food was good, though the choice of sides was limited to the same two options each time. We would have liked more variety. We stayed at the Linde in early March after booking by phone, when a room had been reserved for us, the "Blue Room." It was very small, but manageable for two people over three days. What bothered us more was having the shower and a small sink right in the room, with only the cramped little toilet behind a door. The setup felt completely outdated, and I think that should have been mentioned during the phone call.

The area around the inn is beautiful, and I've visited several times already. The Lang family are incredibly friendly and make sure you feel at home and have a lovely stay. The food and beer are delicious, and the homemade schnapps are especially good: fruit brandy, mirabelle plum brandy, cherry brandy, and Jerusalem artichoke brandy. They were all tasty, but the fruit brandy is among the best I've ever had. I look forward to returning every time. 😍👍
