10/10
Apartment 501 worked very well for us and our dog, though a microwave and a better couch would be welcome upgrades. The hotel is quiet and well placed for exploring the Harz area. We ate at the restaurant on three of our four nights, enjoying the convenience and varied menu, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive to guests. Wi-Fi wasn’t great, but better than I expected in the middle of a national park. I was also pleasantly surprised they gave us free firewood.

6/10
The staff were so kind and the food was good, and the hotel itself was very nice. They deserve a perfect score for that, but the internet needs a lot of work. These days a connection is essential, especially when you need to send work emails or join video calls.
