The breakfast was tasty, and even though the selection was small, there was something for everyone. I was pleasantly surprised to find sausages and scrambled eggs. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, and you could get tea or coffee there throughout the day. The room also had a minibar, microwave, and sink. Parking is across the street, and the gym was open early enough for me to use it as an early riser. I’d give the stay 3.5 stars, so I settled on 3. The room was okay, but dated, with carpet everywhere. We’d said we planned to have breakfast at 7 a.m., yet some hot dishes weren’t ready, which I really didn’t like. We put the room-cleaning card on the door and expected the room to be serviced. We got fresh towels, but the room wasn’t made up, and there’s a reason for those cards. The walls and windows are thin, so it was noisy being next to the main road. The gym had no disinfectant or towels, and an ergometer would have been a nice extra. I’m not sure about having a smoking room next to the gym. You could still smell smoke upstairs. And when no-smoking signs are everywhere, in my opinion people who ignore them should be thrown out.
