We only had lunch at the restaurant. The service was good, but the food was just okay, not great. The value for money didn't work out well for guests, so I guess this was my last visit.

We spent three days here and found it really comfortable. The room was bright and very clean, with a nice view of Altmarkt square in front. This family-run hotel mixes interesting antique details with modern essentials like a bathroom and a good bed. The host was kind and attentive. I'm happy to recommend it :)
The place is super quirky, and there are plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants within 1k. It's very central, about a five-minute walk from the station. I stayed with a band, and though I'd been to oberhausen three times before, this was my first stay here. The menu has good vegetarian options. I didn't have a main myself, but some of the others did and said it was good.
A great spot to stay for the night.
Right by the market square and within sight of the pedestrian zone, it's easy to head out for a stroll. The room was very clean and as quaintly decorated as the restaurant. A nice extra is the adjoining kitchen, where you can make espresso, coffee, or tea. Breakfast is plentiful and suited to guests' needs, with vegetarians well catered for too.
