Hotel Weinberg-Schlößchen

The people here made the biggest difference. Even when I just asked for hot water, someone brought it over, and they kept checking whether I needed anything. When my phone charger failed, they found me a replacement cable too. I was at Weinberg-Schlösschen to run a two-day leadership training for a regional finance authority. I arrived well after reception had closed, but the staff waited for me. My room was unusually spacious, with a freestanding tub in the middle. I woke up with a high fever before I had to train 30 people, and that warm bath and quiet room helped me get through the day. I needed medicine, and at first the staff explained that regulations meant they couldn't give me anything. They checked with their supervisor and then brought me what I needed. I was able to lead the training and stay on schedule, which I was very grateful for. The training room had good light, working equipment, Neuland pens, and a large terrace looking out over the garden. Breakfast was wonderful, especially the fresh homemade bread. Dinner came with local sparkling wine, from their vineyard or possibly a neighbor's, I believe, and it was excellent. The hotel sits among the vineyards of Oberheimbach, with lovely peaceful surroundings. There isn't a pool, which I personally enjoy, but the area is great for walks and hikes. A very kind, family-run place, and a memorable setting for a personal stay or an event.
