I stopped here during my Danube cycling trip and found the hotel easy to reach, just off the highway. It was quiet in Obermartchal, and the place felt new, clean, and well kept, with new furniture. There’s a restaurant on site and continental breakfast. The hostess was lovely and pointed me to her daughter’s restaurant for dinner. Check-in is automated; when I ran into a problem, someone got back to me quickly.

There’s plenty of parking, and the room was clean and roomy. It’s also set up well for kids, with a playground. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly.

There’s cycle storage and a restaurant nearby, and I found the hotel good once I got in. I couldn’t find reception at first, then realized check-in was meant to be self-service, but the system didn’t work. I called the number and eventually someone came over to let me in. I think it was probably a one-off.
