The place is right on a very busy road, and the traffic is easy to hear in the morning. Our superior apartment, 4*, also had a large-windowed door that rattled. It woke us early each morning when the upstairs residents left for work and slammed the outside door. Michael said, "They'll fix this," which was great to hear. Still, I'd recommend the apartment if you're after a nice place in a beautiful village. There's parking on site. We booked three nights at the last minute, and they called politely to sort out the details. We were able to check in early and spend the day exploring the village, then extended our stay to five nights once we saw the location. Communication was perfect, and they gave us some good restaurant tips. Hope the craft beer was good, Michael. 😉

Our stay in apartment 5, two houses away from the other apartments, fell short of what we'd expected and what the landlords promised on their website. The building and hallway were poorly kept, and neither the front door nor the apartment door could open all the way. The main problem was the bedroom facing straight onto the main road. The windows let in so much noise that restful sleep was impossible. There were other issues too. Maybe the other apartments really are impeccable, but this one isn't. We're disappointed and won't be coming back.

Villa Renatus was a pleasant place to stay for five days. The owners were friendly and helpful, and their friend was especially useful to us Italians, interpreting and helping with anything we needed. The house and linens were clean and smelled fresh, the furnishings were new and comfortable, and the kitchen utensils were neatly organized. We enjoyed our time in Obernburg. Its lovely location makes it easy to get around the area by bus and train.

I travel from northern Germany to the south for my studies, and Villa Renatus is where I book every stay. The apartment is central, very cozy, and clean, and the landlords are friendly. I can recommend it with a clear conscience :-)

Villa Cantare made for a lovely few days away. It's clean, tastefully furnished, and so cozy. There's a piano in the living room ready to play, with an acoustic guitar beside it. If you're a musician, you'll feel right at home.
