We chose this place for a weekday overnight stop because Booking.com listed it as a four-star hotel with a wellness center. The pool was the main reason we detoured to such a remote location, but the pool and wellness area are closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, so we couldn't use them. It also felt more like a training center for business guests than a hotel. There was no room phone to reach reception or other services, and no bathrobes or slippers, which seemed unusual for a four-star wellness hotel. The room was dated, the mattress too soft and uncomfortable, and checkout at 10:30 a.m. felt too early. I wouldn't recommend it for a leisure trip. There are better options in this price range in more central locations.

It was a bit of a maze finding our rooms, though I guess that added to the charm. The rooms themselves were clean and smart, and there was a really good choice of tasty food at both dinner and breakfast. I stayed here with colleagues and had a lovely time. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The restaurant manager and team made us feel very welcome in the evening, and at breakfast Annikar went out of her way to get my tea served in a pot with a jug of milk.

A good spot for seminars and similar events, with wellness facilities as an extra. I also liked that there are extensive walks in the woods nearby, so it's a good fit if you enjoy getting outdoors.

The supper and breakfast buffets are excellent, and the staff are great. Everything was clean and tidy, with the rooms finished to a high standard. Guests can use the facilities too. I'd stop here again.

It was worth every dime, and then some. The people were very friendly, and there were very few people around on the weekend. The food was incredible, with awesome dinner and breakfast buffets. For dinner, if you don't want the buffet, you can pay a lower price for just one plate. There's a hot sauna, a damp sauna, and a pool too. Best hotel.
