The setting in Oberstaufen-Steibis is beautiful, but the place fell well short of five-star standards. We reported several problems in 2024, including missing kitchen equipment, broken blinds, a broken mosquito net and a missing stove grate. None had been fixed. This year we also found quite a few very dirty areas: the floors and kitchen were dirty, the windows were smeared, the fireplace was dirty with no cleaning supplies, and the recirculation hood was leaking. There were only two seat cushions for four patio chairs. The house looks worn, and the nearby buildings make it less peaceful. Construction right next door also caused a lot of noise, starting shortly before 7 a.m. The property manager gave us a small compensation, but the price and promises don’t match the quality we actually got.

The manager made the stay especially easy, always friendly, helpful, and very accommodating. The holiday home itself is beautifully styled and furnished to a high standard, with Wi-Fi, Netflix, and a huge TV. I'd happily recommend it.
