The surroundings are stunning and made for pure relaxation. We felt very comfortable and exceptionally well looked after, with staff who were always friendly and attentive. We've stayed at four- and five-star hotels before, and this team could easily compete with any of them. The one small drawback was the lack of a small refrigerator in the room. That would be a nice addition.
We were made to feel at home by the friendly hosts during our five-day winter stay at the Alpenhof. Our room and bathroom had a classic look and were spotless, and breakfast came with plenty of tasty choices. We’d happily return.
The owners are so welcoming, and I’d gladly recommend this family-run hotel. It’s right in central Oberstaufen but still very peaceful, so it works well as a base for activities. Breakfast has a generous selection, and the Wi-Fi is fast. The rooms are clean, practical, and have what you need; the roller shutters are a nice bonus. A few rooms may be noisy if you’re especially sensitive to sound.
After several trips to Oberstaufen and stays at different hotels, Alpenhof is my favorite. I came for a long ski weekend and had a spacious, attractive single room with a balcony. Everything was clean and newly renovated, and breakfast was very good. There’s parking on site, the hosts are friendly, and the price feels fair. The Oberstaufen PLUS card was included too. I can’t think of a downside.
