Hotel Traube Thalkirchdorf

We booked at the last minute and had a lovely little getaway. The hotel and room were cozy, clean, and very nice, and the food was really great. The spa area was tiny, but everything else was perfect. The surrounding area is beautiful, with lots of walking trails, and the guest pass gives you free bus rides. I'll definitely come back.

We were warmly welcomed on our first visit to Hotel Traube, and everything was explained clearly. Our room was clean and quiet, and the pool was clean too, lovely for an evening swim. The sauna, steam bath, and salt cave were all well maintained. Breakfast had a great selection, and the food was tasty with generous portions. Thanks to the Traube team for the friendly welcome and pleasant conversations.

It's a beautiful house, and the waiter was nice. The food was a different story. My schnitzel was small and not crispy, the fried potatoes had no bacon or onions, and there was no parsley or even a hint of butter. The salad was uninspired. If you want a beautiful setting, don't expect much from the food, and are willing to pay a premium, this may suit you. It was even mentioned in the Aral Gourmet Atlas in 2025, though maybe the reviewers were just lucky.

From arrival, there's a lovely warmth to the welcome, and everyone takes time to greet you with a smile and genuine attention. 💐 The rooms are comfortable and furnished with care. Everything is clean, well maintained, and coordinated down to the smallest detail. The food is fresh, regional, and simply divine. You can taste the care and passion in every bite. It's the people who make this place so special. Their friendliness and genuine care make you feel seen, welcomed, and valued, and you leave with a warm heart. It's somewhere I don't just want to return to, I feel I have to. Thank you for everything, you're wonderful! 🥰
