Alpe Oberstdorf

Getting a cable car ticket for free was a nice bonus. The food was good and reasonably priced, and the rooms were clean and well kept. We had plenty of space and a big balcony, although the shower was a little small.

Being right by the ski lift made the location ideal, and our dog was welcome too. A few minutes away were great hikes, the alpine coaster slide, and a bus stop for town. The scenery is breathtaking. Our family of four stayed for a week over New Years, and the team made us feel special from the start. Nicoletta and her team went above and beyond. Our room was clean and comfortable, the dining room was nice, and we enjoyed the outdoor dining areas in the apres ski sunshine. Breakfast had a great selection, lunch was delicious, and the dinners were thoughtfully prepared and magical. We can't wait to return. They deserve more than five stars.

There are ski areas in both Austria and Germany within about 20 minutes, and the hotel sits in the middle of Kleinwalsertal, right beside the lift's middle station. For parking, you can pull up by the hotel to unload, then leave the car in the big lot by the lower lift station, about a five-minute walk away. That's also where the ski rental and ski classes are. We had the largest room for our family of five. It was clean, had lovely slope views, and fresh towels each morning. Breakfast was excellent. Our package also included a different three-course dinner every evening, which was really nice. We liked the small hotel feel and personal attention. When our eldest daughter turned 16, the staff went out of their way to make it memorable. We all really enjoyed our stay.

The room was spacious and clean, with an excellent view. We also had some tasty Bavarian food there, and it arrived quickly. A great place to stay.
