SCHÜLE'S Chalet

The live music on two of the four nights I stayed was a real treat. Schüle’s also has wonderful views, a lovely spa, very friendly service, and an amazing chef. I had a fabulous stay.

I’d happily return to this Oberstdorf hotel near the ski area. The rooms were clean and had everything I needed, though the heater ran a bit too hot and I couldn’t turn it down. The spa has plenty to offer, including a well-equipped gym, warm pool, Finnish sauna, and hot steam bath. The food was delicious and the service excellent.

The staff were so friendly, especially the person who welcomed me in the breakfast room each morning. Their energy and cheerfulness made me smile. The food was fresh and tasty, though breakfast felt rather limited for a ****S hotel, with just one daily special and not much variation. I also prefer choosing my own table, though that’s just my preference. I loved the mountain view from the garden and the hotel’s location. The pool is large enough to swim in, and the spa has separate nude, clothed, and ladies’ areas. Those spaces have a regional 80s feel, as does much of the older part of the hotel. My room, especially the bathroom, felt dated too. The upkeep is excellent and nothing looks run down, though there’s also a more recently built or renovated section. When I visited, the entrance was under construction. Like Oberstdorf generally, the hotel seems to be changing slowly to attract younger guests while keeping its large 60+ customer base. I’d recommend it to friends, but probably wouldn’t return myself because I prefer more modern hotels.

Joshua was especially helpful, and every staff member we met was warm and welcoming. The breakfast buffet was generous, and the alpine views and basement spa made our winter stay feel like a real treat. Wünderbar! Ich mag dieses Wellnesshotel wirklich sehr gern 😍 Ich muss wiederkommen!!
