Thannheimer Häusl

We loved the location, with nature and places like the Breitachklamm gorge right nearby. Oberstdorf’s restaurants and shops are a seven-minute drive, and the ski resorts are easy to get to as well. Our dog was welcome, though there are cats in the building. We stayed in the top-floor "Bergkristall" apartment. It was clean and charmingly decorated, and we really appreciated the morning bread delivery and fresh eggs from their own chickens. Thank you! We’d love to return.

The Gaisberg apartment had everything we needed, and we had a wonderful stay at the Thannheimer Häusl. The Thannheimer couple were very friendly.

The surroundings were fantastic, and we had a really relaxing stay in the cozy apartment. Our landlord was always friendly, helpful, and full of useful information. The bread delivery was excellent, drinks were available, and we enjoyed it enough to book again straight away for 2025. Highly recommended!

The cottage is a great base near the center of Oberstdorf. You can get there by car, on foot, or by ski bus from the recently opened Weidach stop. They give you a card, and there’s no deposit. Hiking trails start just a few meters away, so you can head straight out. Everything went smoothly, including the option to order food and drinks. The rooms are neat and clean, and the kitchen is well equipped for self-catering, with an induction hob, fridge, kettle, microwave, and the dishes and tableware you need. It’s pet-friendly too, which worked well for our dog. Downstairs there’s a drying room for winter gear and boots. The underfloor heating can’t be adjusted, but if you get too warm you can open a window. At least you won’t be cold. I hope we’ll be back 😊. I recommend it.
