The surrounding forest was almost completely quiet, apart from the birds, and phone reception was so limited that it made for an easy digital detox. WiFi was provided free of charge. During our stay from 31 May to 02 June 2024, we shared a room with a balcony and loved the view. The food was traditional German cooking made with care and local ingredients, including meat. The Vesper meals were magical, and even the Kochkäs is made on site.

It’s a peaceful place to relax, and I’d stay here again if I’m in the area. The food was great, and the hotel was good without being expensive. Service was friendly and helpful. WiFi is available, but there’s no mobile reception anywhere in the village, whatever the operator. Credit and EC card payments don’t work, though bank transfers are accepted. It’s better to bring cash.

We had a lovely lunch with our group of 15. The salads were fresh and had plenty of variety, and the tasty food came out quickly despite our group size. Definitely recommend this inn. Thanks for a nice meal, we’d be glad to visit again.
