Räuberschänke

The last visit, for a family occasion, was a letdown. The food was only mediocre, and my Räuberschänke Pfanne was average for a dish carrying the establishment’s name. The staff were polite, but didn’t feel friendly, and a smile or two would’ve helped. We’d spent an hour bowling before the meal. In previous years, someone from the staff would come tell us our table was ready, take our drinks through, and show us where to go. That didn’t happen this time. I’ve been coming here now and then for years because family live nearby, and 13 years ago I was blown away by the place. It’s gone downhill since then. It’s a shame, as visiting the legendary Räuberschänke used to feel like a special occasion.
