It’s a quirky spot, and you’ll probably need to be comfortable around dogs. But if you’re after a bit of an experience, don’t skip it. The food is creative and excellent, and the atmosphere feels really cosy.

My 8-year-old son and I had a great time here. It felt relaxed and safe, with a warm, familiar atmosphere and friendly people. The food was fantastic and tasted natural.

I’d happily book again. It was charming and pleasant, with a simple, traditional feel. The room and bathroom were clean and did what they needed to.

We only stayed three nights and left very satisfied. The room was clean and practical, but the kitchen was the standout. Breakfast had plenty to choose from, something for everyone, and a great start to the day. The owner also works in the kitchen, and his recommendations were always reliable. He was happy to handle even small special requests. Everything was freshly made and tasted very good, though it could take a little while to arrive. The quality was worth the wait. We were completely happy with our stay and highly recommend the "Alten Schlawiner".
