The house had been sold some time earlier, and the former owner was using the “holiday apartment” herself. I arrived on August 11th with a booking confirmation from a large rental agency. Reception was friendly, but the situation was disappointing. The agency had been told about it and didn’t respond. I’m still waiting for my refund.

We spent a wonderful two weeks here, though it was unfortunately too short. The apartment was comfortable, clean, very well maintained, and had everything we could need. We slept well in the beds without any back problems. The area is great for long hikes and bike rides, and the beach is a 30-minute bike ride away. The owners gave us a warm welcome, and their dog was adorable. Thank you so much, Kappler family. We’d love to come back.

Finding somewhere else to stay at short notice was very difficult and stressful. We’d booked the Petra Kappler holiday apartment through Booking.com, but when we arrived, we were first told there was no room. The host then said she had deregistered from Booking.com a year earlier, and later claimed there were payment problems through Booking.com. We were also treated rudely on-site. The conflicting explanations and the host’s unprofessional behavior had a big effect on our stay. I can’t recommend this accommodation. The whole experience was extremely disappointing. Type of trip: business

We felt at home right away, thanks to the warm welcome. The apartment is cozy and inviting, and this was our third visit. We’re already looking forward to next summer. All the best until then.
