Hotel Gasthof Bayrischer Löwe

I had a balcony in room 113, which was spacious, with a separate toilet and shower. I enjoyed my meal in the restaurant. Breakfast was adequate, with something for everyone, though nothing special. I thought the price was good, and I’d stay here again if I’m in the area.

I stayed for two nights because my customer was 10 minutes away, and I’ll book here again next time work brings me back. I travel all over the world for work, and lately have spent a lot of time in Germany. I try to speak the local language when I’m abroad, though it isn’t always easy. I want people to know I’m trying, even if I don’t always understand, and to help me make myself understood. The staff helped make things clear without any fuss. Not everyone here speaks English, but getting by was easy, and the owner spoke very good English at checkout. The owners were super friendly. The rooms were so clean, the bed was perfect, and the shower had good hot water. The restaurant food and breakfast were good, too. There are lovely cabinets set into the corridor walls, filled with old German history. It’s like a museum. The city center is nice as well, with old buildings and nice shops. The people were great, and the hotel is nicely furnished with an interesting old school look. There’s also a pleasant little beer garden, and breakfast was decent. The rooms were mediocre, and the wifi could be better.

The staff were unfriendly, and the opening hours were very strange. They just lock the doors whenever, which is odd for a hotel. Breakfast was less than mediocre, despite the price being above average.
