The setting is gorgeous and quiet, with loads of options for hikes, sightseeing and other trips. We had a wonderful holiday here, and the house was lovely, exceptionally clean and equipped with everything we needed. It was great for little kids too: a cot, high chair, toys and all the other essentials were there, so we didn't need to bring anything. The owners were really friendly and welcomed us with an excellent chocolate cake. We'd happily recommend it and come back.

We had a lovely, homey holiday in a beautiful house, and Mrs. Matti was lovely. There's really good food about a 10-minute walk away. The insect hotel at the restaurant, though, wasn't so great, with insects and flies all over the garden courtyard.

We arrived to find a delicious homemade apple pie waiting for us. The hostess was welcoming, and the cottage had all the comforts and equipment we needed. The house and garden are beautiful, and the surrounding area is lovely for walks, with charming towns nearby. A holiday here should also include a steam train ride to the Brocken.

It's a quiet spot that's great for children, with a shallow stream beside the house where they can play. There are plenty of games indoors and outside, and the place is clean and cared for. The landlords are friendly and provide everything you need. Wi-Fi is good, though filtered, so some sites won't load and Clash of Clans is blocked, which is odd. I'd recommend it if you aren't expecting ultra-modern amenities.
