The rooftop was a lovely spot to unwind, and having tea and coffee available, plus wine and beer to buy whenever we wanted, was a nice touch. We were four adults cycling along the Rhine in August, and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were lovely, the town and location were great, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was much appreciated. Thanks for a great stay. Anne, Tony, Colin and Kim. We’d certainly recommend the hotel.

The rooms and everything else were very tidy and clean, and the shower in raw grey concrete was a favorite detail. We stayed in Gästehaus Steinmühle, in the old part of Osthofen, beside an old winery and just steps from a vineyard, so it’s a lovely starting point for a walk. The village is charming, with vineyards in nearly every direction. The new hotel building aims for a countryside vintage feel with some modern touches, though the interior felt a bit overdone and didn’t quite become charming. Breakfast is included, but it was underwhelming in a small, charmless basement room. There wasn’t much for anyone needing vegetarian, gluten-free, or dairy-free options, though the very nice hostess did her best to make up for it.

We meant to stay longer, but checked out after just one night. The beds had an odd smell, and there was a lot of noise all night. When we raised it with the manager the next morning, she told us to check out. Think carefully before booking here.
