The beds were great, and we looked forward to breakfast each morning. We especially appreciated having a pantry with a fridge and water boiler. We stayed at Villa Neander for a week in mid-July 2014 and had a very good time. It's on the main street, close to restaurants, shops, and the beach. Parking behind the Villa was limited, so they offered us a spot at another hotel about a five-minute walk away. We actually preferred that, since we didn't have to drive on the main street, which was a pedestrian street.

The food is probably fine in general, but as a vegetarian this definitely isn't the restaurant I'd pick.

We stopped in for lunch. The staff were friendly, but the food was bad. For instance, they tried to pass off some salad as basil leaves. If they didn't have basil, they should've told us when we ordered.

We were told nothing about an extra room charge, but had to pay MORE when we arrived. When we asked why, the staff couldn't explain it in English and got angry when we asked again. The room itself was very large, though it was on the first floor and people at breakfast could see straight in.
