Villa Störtebeker

We were comfortable overall and had a pleasant stay in apartment 4 on the first floor. It was spacious, with a well-equipped kitchen and furniture in good condition. The Wi-Fi was a little weak, and the floor and stairwell could have been cleaner when we arrived.

Apartment 1 was very spacious and had everything we needed. The mattresses were excellent and we slept well, and the included Wi-Fi worked very well. The location was good too. The terrace was tiny and uncovered, with no privacy screen. Since it sat right beside the driveway, there was absolutely no privacy. Cleanliness could have been better. We always stay in vacation rentals and have plenty to compare it with, so we’re not convinced the price was justified.

Apartment No. 6 was clean, with a functional kitchen and fast Wi-Fi. We’d booked a crib, but the travel cot wasn’t set up. It was very rickety, had holes in the side panel, and came without a mattress, pillow, or blanket. When we asked the management about it, the response was completely unprofessional and rude. We also had to empty the dishwasher when we arrived and strip the bed linen when we left, despite paying for final cleaning. We’ve never encountered that before. Otherwise, we had a lovely time on a fantastic island with beautiful nature and beaches. The villa itself is nice and quiet, with several apartments and private parking behind the house. Shops and restaurants are just a few minutes away. The beach and the “Rasender Roland” are easy to reach through a small park and by elevated train. There’s also a great dog beach that I’d highly recommend.

We’d happily return anytime. It was very relaxing, with a garden of its own and a peaceful, natural setting. From the forest promenade next door, you get stunning views of the Baltic Sea and can reach the beach in just a few minutes. The town center is also only a short walk away, with everything we could want on vacation.
