Hotel zur Post

We especially appreciated how attentive and friendly the staff were throughout our four-day stay, and the breakfast buffet was fresh with a decent choice for a small hotel. Coffee and hot chocolate from the kitchen were free. The double room was small, but very clean, quiet, and had everything we needed: a mini fridge, kettle, tea, wardrobe, and bathroom. It was cleaned every day. The hotel is in a good spot in Otterndorf, and late check-in through a key box is possible, though reception is usually staffed until 10 pm. We got a detailed note with local sights and excursion ideas when we arrived. The tourist tax was included in the room rate, and we were given a printed card. We didn't try the restaurant because the vegetarian options didn't appeal to us. Another one or two dishes on the menu would be welcome, though I'm sure they could have made something else if we'd asked. We highly recommend the hotel, particularly for the attentive staff.

The staff were so friendly and committed to making sure guests were happy, and we particularly appreciated the warm manner of the staff member on duty that evening. The rooms were comfortable and very well kept. We had a thoroughly enjoyable family stay and were completely satisfied. Highly recommended.

We had a plentiful, varied breakfast, and the service staff were very friendly and accommodating. The city center is only a short walk away, which made the hotel's location convenient. We stopped here on our bike tour and could safely leave our bikes in the garage. Our room was small, but very clean and had what we needed for a comfortable stay. The bathroom was also quite small, a minor drawback that wasn't a big problem once we knew what to expect. We can definitely recommend the accommodation.

Excellent service and wonderful food at this dog-friendly, family-run hotel.
