Best Western Plus Arosa Hotel

I stayed for two nights in July 2025. The room was nice, clean, and quiet, with a pleasant view across the city center, though the hotel as a whole feels somewhat outdated. My main concern was privacy. During the few hours I spent in the room on those two days, staff entered or tried to enter eight times: five times to clean, twice to check the minibar, and once without knocking for a reason I don’t know. At checkout I complained, but the woman said they don’t know when guests leave, so they have a right to enter, and that I should have put up a “do not disturb” sign. There wasn’t one in my room. That wasn’t good enough, and I doubt I’ll return. There are other nice hotels in Paderborn where I’m sure guests get some privacy. Breakfast was decent, and the spa on the 8th floor was fine, nothing luxurious but not bad. It’s strange that they have a pool but no gym.

We really enjoyed the food, both breakfast and dinner. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and updated, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We highly recommend the BW Arosa.

The staff were pleasant and easy to approach. The rooms were clean and nicely presented, and the sauna and steam rooms were clean and open at reasonable hours. There’s a good range at breakfast, though it’s a little expensive. Parking is in a multi-story lot and the spaces are a bit tight. The evening restaurant menu is limited, but there are plenty of nearby places to eat.

The location is right in the city center, surrounded by local attractions and restaurants. From the restaurant’s cozy terrace you get a panoramic city view, and breakfast there was great. My room was spacious, very clean, comfortable, and well soundproofed. The view from the window was amazing too. I can highly recommend this nice hotel.
