The old-fashioned furnishings gave the room a comfortable feel, and the location was convenient and a little scenic. Service was good too. The only thing that bothered me was the AC, it roared at night and woke me several times. Since I was only there for one night, I didn't bother adjusting its settings.

The service was so friendly, and the hotel was wonderful. Paderborn is a must-stay location.

10/10
The food was outstanding, and the staff were amazing. The location worked perfectly for the business we were visiting, with good parking right out front. The rooms were nice, though the small quilt and oddly shaped pillows took some getting used to.

At breakfast, some things took a little while to be replenished once they ran out. The meal itself was good, and the restaurant looked after our children well. We stayed two nights, and the reception staff spoke great English while also letting me practise my German.

4/10
The breakfast was very good, but most other meals seemed like convenience food, often frozen and reheated. During the evening meal, three waitresses were standing around while one poor apprentice handled everything, and the restaurant service was bad. At the convention, empty water bottles weren't replaced either. The room and bathroom heaters didn't work, even though it was 0°C outside, and the shower head was defective. It's a pity, since the place has a lot going for it, but management seems to be cutting costs in the wrong places.
