The staff made the birthday party visit a lovely surprise, they were friendly, quick, and helpful. Everything was spotless and looked well cared for, and breakfast was excellent. The bathroom is quite tiny, though it was manageable. I’d gladly recommend the boathouse.

You can see the water even from the rooms set farther back, and the view from the hall is breathtaking. The friendly, upbeat team made us feel at home and was quick to respond whenever we needed something. We were there for a winter wedding in the busy run-up to Christmas, and the team handled the event beautifully. Breakfast was a warm welcome too, with carefully set tables, hot coffee and tea, and tasty treats. Highly recommended. Best wishes from Munich, and here’s to many more lovely celebrations in every season! :o)

The service at my 70th birthday in April 2025 was fantastic, and everything was taken care of. I had a wonderful time celebrating at the boathouse. Thanks again to the team.

The peaceful setting and unique view are lovely, but there were issues on our third team visit. The owner had changed since an earlier stay, and verbal agreements weren't kept. Rooms are basic and small, though fine for one night. Some areas were quite dusty, and the lake and trees bring plenty of insects. The place feels past its best, and screws have been sticking out of the wood for years.

There’s parking and a boat dock, and you can go swimming. The room itself is small but clean, with a bathroom that may feel tight for taller people. Towels and shower gel are supplied. It has two single beds with very soft mattresses, and the blinds block out all the light. Handy for staying overnight after a party.
