Dormero Express Hotel Passau

The room was clean and pleasant when we arrived, but it was never cleaned during my nine-night stay. Even with the sign on the door, we didn't get fresh towels, toilet paper, or garbage removal. We were told rooms are cleaned every five days, but that never happened. The room was over a grocery store loading bay, and on every night except Saturday, trucks started delivering from 2:30 a.m.; workers idled, smoked, and banged things around. I'm a light sleeper, and it was miserable. I was told there were no other rooms. Check-in was a problem too: the man at the desk on our first night wouldn't read the email confirming our one-day-earlier arrival and agreed price. He put us in a very small room, refused to change it, and insisted I had no room because my team manager had used my husband's last name. My husband tried to explain too. I shouldn't have to justify having a different last name from him. After two hours of arguing, we got the room size we'd booked and paid for, but were charged an extra €30, which we paid just to get to bed. Fine for a night while passing through, perhaps, but I wouldn't recommend staying longer.
