The staff were amazing, and the room was large, nice, and well heated. Breakfast was okay. It worked really well as an overnight stop, with a good spot beside the Danube and close to Austria.

The setting is very quiet, and although the pension isn't near the town center, the bus stop is just a two-minute walk away. The ride into town takes about 10 minutes, or a little less by car. It's also close to the Austrian border, where there's a cheap gas station. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and especially clean, with the beds made every day, which we hadn't expected at a pension. Breakfast was okay, with marmalade, yogurt, cheese, eggs, cold cuts, tea, and coffee. We especially liked the homemade apricot marmalade.

Pension Gambrinus is close to the Austrian border, and there are several good restaurants nearby, both in Austria and toward the city. The house has been renovated and feels very cozy. We stayed three nights. It's not close to town, but it's easy to leave the car in one of Passau's parking garages. Breakfast was very good, especially the homemade apricot jam.

The reception lady was kind and polite, and my room was spacious, with a pleasant balcony and view. It was also great having a parking lot right there. The place was very clean!

The rooms are clean and roomy, which made for a very enjoyable stay. Getting into town wasn't a problem, especially since we had arrived by car.
