I had a good stay for the price and would choose the hotel again. It’s quiet inside despite being right by the highway, though you have to use the highway to get to the nearby town. The rooms are nice and very clean. Breakfast comes in two options, a standard one and an all-inclusive one depending on the price. My standard breakfast was fine, with the usual choices, but I was initially confused about what I could take from the buffet. The internet was weak, suitable for email or checking the news, but videos only played at very low resolution.

There aren’t even cups for water. The hotel itself is not too bad, but the flickering automatic lights make the place feel like a scene from a horror movie, with that uneasy sense of things moving around at night. Check-in begins at the travel center’s coffee bar, where I had to wait while they served around a dozen coffee customers before anyone paid attention to me.

Breakfast was confusing. Staff showed our kids where to get food, then suddenly said it wasn’t included. Before that, we had ants in our first room, and the air conditioning in the next room didn’t work in temperatures over 30 degrees. What a start to the day.

It’s basic but clean, and the two power sockets are placed pretty awkwardly. If reception is closed, you can check in at a machine, so you don’t know who’s in the room next to you.

The rooms were clean and quiet, and this is a handy place to stop if you’re driving across Europe. The breakfast could be better.
