Valeria was my waitress on Sunday, and in 15 years of travelling around Germany, I’ve never had better service. The food was amazing as always, and the tiramisu was great too, if there’s still some left when you visit. Pegnitz has few places better than this, so I strongly recommend booking ahead for dinner on Friday or Saturday. I’m already looking forward to coming back with my family.

The staff were pleasant, and breakfast was good. It’s a cute hotel in a small town about halfway between Munich and Berlin.

I’d give this zero stars if I could. You can order two single rooms and still end up with one double. Reception doesn’t speak English. BE AWARE.
