Gästehaus an der Peitnach

We were cycling across Europe and stayed in rooms opposite this place, but came here for breakfast. It was good, and the service was efficient.

My room had a slightly odd smell, though the other two rooms were fine. The rooms feel rather old-fashioned but are otherwise alright. The windows let some air through, and if you're above the bar you can hear music until around 11 pm. It wasn't too bothersome.

I booked at the Hotel "Dragoner" across the street, but wound up in a shabby sort of "workers' accommodation" with terrible acoustics. The single room cost almost €100.

The bathroom was just as dirty as the room. The soap dispenser was disgusting, and the shower head was so clogged with limescale that water sprayed everywhere. The bed and the rest of the furniture were badly worn and poorly maintained. Breakfast wasn't any better: the coffee tasted reheated, and the other food seemed cheap. The website pictures don't resemble the place at all. When the host starts suggesting you might say something, it makes me think they don't know what's going on in their hotel. I took photos that back up what I'm saying.
