We only stayed one night at Nordsee Lodge, on a spur-of-the-moment stop while near the Pellworm ferry at Nordstrand. The location was great, and the accommodation was clean and up to date. We also enjoyed the spa and the excellent food, served by attentive staff. The young owner welcomed us at check-in, and after dinner we had a chat with her father. Everything felt so natural here. We'll definitely come back more than once.

With the hotel being so secluded, the cozy separate lounge and its fireplace were a lovely place to spend the evening. The spa was another highlight, with three different saunas and a generous relaxation area. Rooms are spacious, including the bathrooms, and the breakfast is more than ample. Service is extremely attentive, and there's something for everyone at the restaurant, which I'd recommend too. The tasteful decor, spotless rooms, and comfort make it great value for money. I can't understand why it only has a 3-star rating. I'd definitely return, and will.

The quiet did us a world of good, and we loved the stay, though sadly it was our first and last time here. Dogs aren't allowed in the hotel, which isn't a criticism, just sad for us. We're getting a puppy on the first Sunday of Advent. When we come back to the island with our dog, we'll definitely eat at the hotel restaurant, where he'll be welcome :) We came for a short break, and it was my husband's birthday. They took note of it and even gave us a glass of sparkling wine at breakfast. The owner greeted us by name when we arrived, a thoughtful touch. The food was excellent and really high quality, and the spa was small but perfectly formed. Our room was very spacious, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom's distinctive "Moin" tiles made a nice change.

We felt so well looked after here. The manager deserves a special mention, passionate, friendly, and simply wonderful. The staff were truly kind, and even came up with solutions when ferry service was cancelled. When we had a small issue with the TV, it was sorted immediately. Restaurant portions were generous and tasty, and breakfast left nothing to be desired. The minibar was already stocked when we arrived, on the house. We'd gladly recommend the hotel and will be back next year.
