We brought some of the apple juice home, and it was delicious. My daughter had the best time, with friendly animals and staff, good food, and activities that were well planned and fun. The hospitality was lovely too. We’ll definitely be back, and I can only recommend the place.

My daughter called it the best day ever because she got to hold rabbits and guinea pigs. We were there for a farm experience with a big group of children, and the guides were really helpful in both English and German.

Isabell did a great job keeping everyone engaged for my son’s third birthday, even though I’d worried three hours might be too long for the kids. There was plenty to do: we fed the animals, took a pony ride, played in the barn playroom, and cooked bread over a fire. Coffee was provided for the adults, and the kids had fresh apple juice. They also sell really tasty honey.

Our three-person family, including our 3-year-old, spent 10 days on the Müller family farm. The owner welcomed us warmly and showed us around. We met a whole range of animals, from horses, ponies, pigs and donkeys to sheep, goats, turkeys, a dog, cats, bees, guinea pigs, rabbits and chickens. Our daughter especially loved petting the guinea pigs and rabbits, and the pony rides with Isabell, Christa’s daughter, were another big highlight. Isabell clearly loves her work and is an important part of the farm. Thank you! We got to know some of the other guests and made pizza together in the wood-fired oven, then had a campfire with stick bread. It was very hot, up to 35 degrees Celsius, with thunderstorms on just one day, so we spent plenty of time out and about. The kids loved the Water-Fish-Nature adventure park, and we also visited several outdoor pools, including the Schwandorf adventure pool. We went to Klausensee lake twice on hot days. As a Berliner, I was pleasantly surprised that none of those places felt overcrowded or unpleasant. A pedal boat at the Murano Beach Club on Murner See was €12 per hour, and swimming out in the middle of the lake was wonderful. We also had a lovely, impressive day trip to Regensburg, including the Old Town Hall and a side trip to Walhalla. We were able to run errands on the way back, too. There is a monastery nearby, and its loud chime sounds every fifteen minutes, so sleeping with the windows shut is best. During our stay the window mosquito nets had a problem, which meant we could only air the rooms briefly before mosquitoes came in.
