We stopped for a bathroom break and refreshments, and the male staff member who greeted us was really friendly, helpful, and funny. The coffee tasted great, came in a huge size, and was excellent value. The toilet was spotless and clearly well cared for. I wish there were more small, locally run stops like this by the autobahn.

I felt safe during my two nights, and the free parking was a plus. The people were friendly, and some spoke English, which I appreciated since I wish I spoke German. My room was small but fine for one person, with a big bathroom. The place could use a general makeover, from the mattress to the cleaning, though that costs money and would probably mean higher rates. At the current price and in these conditions, I’d stay again for one night. There’s a gas station next to the hotel that stays open late.

The rooms seemed clean and were okay, but the balcony door was screwed shut, leaving no way to open a window or get air into the room. It was so bad that I left at 5am.

The worst Autobahnraststätte I’ve ever been to. Just awful.
