Gästehaus am Paradieshof

There’s lots of room in the downstairs apartment, and it’s clean and lovely. Everything you need is there, and the landlord is very nice.

We stayed four nights while visiting for a family wedding, and our six-year-old granddaughter loved watching the frogs in the garden pond. She even spotted a slow worm. The place is surrounded by greenery, with huge windows, a big terrace, and a garden. It felt wonderfully restful. There are four bedrooms, plus a roomy open living area connected to a separate dining space and kitchen. It’s very well equipped, and the apartment was so clean that our nearly one-year-old grandson could crawl around without worry. A travel cot was available when we asked. The beds were already made, and there were plenty of towels and tea towels. The owner is really kind and tries to make things work. Arrival was easy: we called half an hour ahead and he was waiting for us. We’d gladly return, next time in winter to try out the great fireplace. There’s also a separate small holiday apartment, and I imagine you could rent both together. There’s plenty to see nearby. Schwerin is only a 15-minute drive, and there are lots of lakes with little swimming coves around here. We drove just five minutes to a small cove in a drinking water protection area, where swimming is allowed.

The terrace and garden have a really nice view. The accommodation is clean, the rooms are a good size, and I’d definitely recommend it.
