Villa Sonntag

The landlords were very friendly, the location is central, parking is on site, and there's secure storage for bikes. But the apartment didn't quite work for us. The kitchen-diner is very dark, with little daylight getting in because of the tall bushes and trees. The kitchen is poorly equipped, with too few dishes to make good use of the dishwasher. There's no freezer compartment in the fridge for ice or cooler packs, and hardly any room in the full cupboards for even a small amount of our own food. There's no microwave either. Just the two of us were traveling, and when we cook, we usually make enough for two days. We would've used a microwave to heat up the next day's food. Eating out every day in Plau and the surrounding area felt far too expensive for us. The main bedroom mattresses were poor quality, so my husband moved to the smaller room, where the bed was better for his back. The shower is very narrow, making it unusable for larger people, and there's no shelf for shower gel.
