From the Himmelsstübchen, Lake Plön lies below in timeless, imposing beauty, catching the sunlight with a dreamy wink. The climb is well worth it. I'd especially recommend breakfast on the bench by the jetty. And the landlady is exceptionally friendly and gracious. A huge thank you for such a comfortable box seat!

The direct lake access, bathing jetty, and terrace with its garden were lovely, and our dog was very happy there. The little place was beautiful and thoughtfully furnished, the landlady was kind and attentive, and we felt comfortable. We were very disappointed to learn that the property is now rented only to guests without dogs, so we've taken off a star. We would gladly have paid extra for our dog. It seems a bad experience one landlord had with dog owners has ended up affecting everyone else.
