There’s a lovely spot to sit outside when the weather’s good, but the real charm is inside. Maternushof is a restored farmhouse where the old floorboards, doors, windows, and antique staircase all feel right together. It has loads of character, while still having everything even a fussy guest might want. We felt warmly welcomed each day, and enjoyed chatting with the owner. Definitely an experience to have.

The terrace and Pia’s garden are especially lovely when it’s warm, and the wood stove makes the bakehouse cozy on cold days. We’ve come back for years to enjoy the peace and nature, and always feel comfortable with Pia and her family. The apartment is for two and belongs to the Maternushof farm. It’s thoughtfully furnished, has everything needed to cook for yourself, and is spotless every time. Pia is welcoming, easy to reach, and happy to suggest outings. Pomster is a small town with the Nürburgring, Moselle, Ahr, and High Fens all nearby. It’s a good place to step away from everyday stress. We love the personal atmosphere and our conversations together, and hope to stay with Pia again. Thank you, dear Pia!
