I feel lucky and pampered to live in this elegant, bright, beautifully maintained house. The weekly cleaning is included and top-notch, which makes the place feel extra special. The owner and her team are wonderfully welcoming and helpful. It’s a lovely place to relax and enjoy everything Potsdam has to offer, with a small-village view from the living room windows, even though you’re right in the center of Brandenburg’s capital and just a stone’s throw from Berlin.

Total scam. The owners’ constant smiles hide how awful they are toward other ethnicities and cultures. The cleaning crew is meant to come on Fridays, but they show up on other days in an invasive way and then report you to the authorities. Think Stasi. Potsdam was in East Germany, after all.

The rooms are beautiful, the view is great, and the bed is extremely comfortable. It felt like a place to make yourself at home. The good experience was spoiled near the end, though. My boyfriend had mistakenly booked for one person instead of two, and we got a bill for the extra charge shortly before check-out. The mistake was ours, and we were happy to pay the difference. But I found it very inappropriate and poor customer service to hint that we’d done it on purpose to save a few euros. Otherwise, I’d highly recommend the place.
