My stay at Svetis Hotel near Pulheim was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. A brand-new €80 sweatshirt went missing after being delivered to the hotel entrance, where delivery drivers usually leave packages. The cleaning staff opened the package without permission and threw the bag in the trash, and the sweatshirt was missing. The hotel acknowledged what happened but offered no solution or compensation. Staff also entered our room while we were away without notifying us or getting our consent. That was a complete violation of our privacy and unacceptable. I don’t feel the hotel is safe for belongings or peace of mind. Management was careless, customer service was nonexistent, and they took no responsibility even though their own staff were at fault. If you care about your safety, privacy, and property, stay far away. This was negligence and disrespect.

Really bad.

Parking turned out to be for the restaurant only, despite being described as available at the property. There was loud construction noise from 7 a.m., with the site right beside the accommodation. The bed linen smelled musty, and the kitchen and bathroom weren't very clean. Unfortunately, this wasn't a good choice.

The kitchenette in room 4 was handy for making quick meals in the morning and evening, and the room itself was nicely furnished. The rest of my stay was pleasant enough, though I don't need to come back. Getting in was awkward because the hallway had no light, so I had to use a flashlight to enter my room's PIN. The bathroom was the problem: the shower and sink fixtures were badly calcified and rusty, as was the drain. The showerhead's plastic cover was broken, the bottom quarter of the white curtain had turned completely yellow, and yellow wallpaper was peeling in places. The extractor fan was completely clogged with dust. I'm only speaking about room 4.

The room was exactly what we expected, and everything was very clean. The price was right, too. For our special occasion, we could arrange different check-in and check-out times, and we were more than satisfied. Thanks again to Ms. Root for the great support.
